Book of Illusions: Chapter III

After the two masterpieces that were the previous chapters of this Book of Illusions here comes VLE with the new compositions.  And if the two first chapters were great this one is even more amazing and the compositional skills are even better here.  It is impossible to describe VLEīs music with few words... let's say that here you have elements of atmosphereic music, combined with metal and some black metal influences here and there, everything put together with a lot of keyboards, acoustic and clean guitars, distorted ones.  The main thing here is creativity, originality and imagination.  Everything here is an expression of the dark soul of the brain behind this music (the VLE) and here we can see reflected from his darkest feelings to his worst nightmares, everything done with extremely good musicianship and fine taste.  VLE has delivered once again one of the albums of the year.  I recommend to listen this album with your headphones on so you will find new landscapes on each listening.

Book of Illusions: Chapter I & II

This is with no doubt one of the best releases of the year.  VLEīs music can be described as Dark Experimental Soundscapes.  And this is a well definition because despite being of extreme beauty, VLEīs music is extremely dark.  And it really kicks ass with the dynamics of this compositions that gare made with keyboards and computers following the instinct of the composer The VLE... every musical piece here is improvised and The VLE has done a great job in creating the melodies and passages that we can listen here.  Every soundscape here is completely different from the other and each one is a musical world in its own.  After doing all the compositions, Michael Molina recorded the real drums for this amazing release.  Now The VLE has ready the third and last chapter of the Book of Illusions trilogy and I am ready and willing to listen to it.  I say it again... this is one of the best releases of the year.
